broadheads for my son

My son who is 12 shots a browning adreniline at 40 pounds, his draw length is 27", what broadhead do you recommend? I am thinking a cut on impact???

I'd reccomend a Bear Razorhead or a Steelforce Broadhead. Yep...Cut on impact! Really suggest good standing, broadside shots, and he'll be fine...the deer won't!

Good Luck!

He could use a replaceable blade model, with a TroCar tip. Something three blade maximum and narrow cutting diameter. No more than 1 1/8" should do nicely. I like the InnerLoc heads, maybe in 75gr or 85gr. Then there the Wasp SST Hammer in 75gr also. Muzzy makes a few that are 1" cut.

And the other trick is to limit the range he is shooting. Maybe a max of 25 yards or so, depending on his accuracy.

Rocky tradition, Magnus stingers, Sonic's , Wac'ems would all be great choices. These heads will work well with low KE setups and produce excellent penetration.

Definately look into the 4 blade stingers, they are sharp and accurate (user friendly).
