whisker B ???

I just got a WB for my bow and was wondering if it will be okay to push it all the way forward so that the section of the rest that is closest to the riser just butts right up to the riser. This looks like a very secure way to set it up but in the manufacturer photo it sits away from the riser about an inch or so.

Thanks for your help.

I did. Otherwise my vanes would be inside the whiskers and it would be ackward to load.

That would be fine assuming that your bow is tuned with that placement. You may need to move it left/right or tilt forward/back to get best tune.

i set mine up that way after thinking the same thing you did. the guy at my local pro shop set mine up about a half inch off to the rear of the riser just like it looks on the web site. i thought wouldnt it be rock solid to have it against the riser. i changed my setup to that without any problems. you just have to look at the shelf to see if its close to 90 degrees.

Yep, those are the exact answers I was hoping for.
Thanks

Well, I'm gona give you an answer that you don't want. It may rattle badly against the riser at the shot and create a ton of noise. Sometimes they will and sometimes they won't.

It may be noisy. Mine is around 1/8 " off it.

I have mine set up about a 1/4 inch from the riser. I don''t think it makes much difference as long as you have room to adjust it. However I do think it might rattle if it's touching the riser. For what it's worth, as long as the allen bolts are tight, it is a rock solid rest.

Yep, a little air gap is all you need to rule out any possible noise later.
