I'm Ecstatic--Hallelujah!!!
First, I'll like to thank all those who have willingly offered their help trying to provide information on the status of my Allegiance.
![]() Today I paid a visit to our Distributor here in Ontario, had to collect some accessories as well as I wanted to draw the 28" Allegiance--Thought about changing the cams to a 27.5" and at least have to bow and when the E7 cams come in, I would change to the 27". So out came a UN-Opened Bowtech box---RH 28"/60 # bow--we opened the box, checked the bow over and drew the bow back!! Well 28" is was and definitely an inch beyond my draw length. Oh well--maybe we'll change to a 27.5" cams and then change again when the 27" arrive. Then over on the wall I saw a few bows. A Pro 40, a 04 target Liberty and the other, a 'Defender'. Saying to 'B'--"let me see that Defender", he reached for it looked at me and smiled and then said 'you're one lucky sucker'. The Defender had E7 cams--making the DL a perfect 27". So you guessed it---over to the Apple Press and removed the cams on the Defender did the same to the 28" Allegiance and replaced with the E7 cams checked it over and hallelujah--Hallelujah--a 60#/27" Allegiance was born. Now it's time to fit the accessories and head-on-over to the range. Talk to ya later guys--I'm floating on air. ![]() |

RE: I'm Ecstatic--Hallelujah!!!
Congrats ampahunter. You got yourself a real nice bow.I am thinking on trading mine in this year, talking it over with the wifey:eek:----still waiting on a reply.
How much did you pay for the allegiance ? I was wondering if you can still get the bowtechs in heavy models, for example----I want a heavy 60#er that will max at around 63-65 lbs.OR maybe I'll just go with the 70#er if its that easy to draw. Im calling my dealer-------see if I can make a deal:) |
RE: I'm Ecstatic--Hallelujah!!!
Thank you all so much for your compliments. It IS indeed a awesome bow!!
A little later I'll write a post of the bow's performance--not 'mine', the bow!;) Was quite busy since I got the bow, today I'm running in and out again. So first I want to take and document all the measurements, DL, let-off etc,--as manufacture specs and what is on the bow 'sometimes' show different numbers. I've done a few of these measuremnts last night, the BH is off about 1/8", haven't adjusted the cables myself as yet--plan on twisting ONE turn and see what will happen. The ATA is dead-on, there is ZERO cam lean, the let off is not @ 79%, as the bow is set at 55# and at full draw I'm holding 11#--blah, blah--but soo I'll get to shooting this bow. Extreme 1, this 'bare' bow should cost somewhere around $900 ~$950 CAN$, depending on the accessories, the package will be an investment. As for getting a heavier 60#'er--a 'little' tinkering with the cables can get you to 63~65#. I'm willing to assist when you get the approval from the 'better-half'!!:D John--John my boy-I know your Dually is a great bow--I'm cerrainly not going to knock on that--but man, wait until you get your hands on the Allegiance--talk about smooth, solid wall, absolutely no effort staying against the wall, and best of all when she flies--she rockets!!! It is a decent toy and I think I'm going to enjoy this bow. Silence has been redefined---I'll now tell my kids--'BOWTECH' when I intend to say 'silent!! [8D] Would love to see them (Bowtech) come up with 'modules' down the road, so as the transition the DL a little easier--as against removing both cams. This will make for a faster job--and for Dealers they can help a customer allot faster when the bows DL are different to the customers. I'll be back soon, gotta run, my wife is at the door!![:@] |
