Default Blazer vanes and Slick Tricks?

Anyone shoot the Blazer vanes with the 100 grain 4 bladed Slick Tricks? How do they fly?

With the blazer vanes, how far from the nock should you be when you fletch them? Do the Blazer vanes glue on with the super type glues without any prep work?

I use an easy an fletch, so they land where the back of the jig puts them. Seems to work well.
As far as prep work goes. I acetone the old glue off, wipe it down with a watery rag and let dry. Then it's gel superglue for me. Works great. NOT ONE blazer has come off my arrows. Ok, one did. but only after passing through an eighpoint and then burying itself horizontally (ground blind) in the dirt several feet.

Arrows used- Easton carboneros
Cabelas camo carbons
Beman ICS340's (black)

My experience is basically the same as Dave's (minus the 8pt.)[&:]

Field point like flight and accuracy. I also fletch them with the back the same place as the back of other (4") vanes. Superglue gel works great.

I like the Blazers and the Slick Tricks, I just can't get them to like EACHOTHER!! I tried different fletching tonight and the slicks are still making that "hissing" noise on the way to the target. Tinker, Tinker Tinker, I just want to shoot.[>:]

Contender. I guess we are the only ones shooting at the "wrong" speed and experiencing this hissing. Have you tried a heavier arrow to try and slow it down s little and see if it still hisses? Just an idea. Just an idea. I'd try it but I don't have my gear.[&:]
