do you turn your limbs down?

i have two bows one for hunting and one for 3D tournaments. a mighty mite and a pro 38,both are bow techs. when the hunting season ends do you turn your bow down and take the pressure off when the season ends and you put that bow down for a few months. ive just started bow hunting and shooting 3D tournaments so i could use all the info i can get. ive learned a lot here in the few weeks i have been a member.

RE: do you turn your limbs down?

Tbone,

Personally, no, I do not turn down the draw weight during the off season....but then again I usually shoot at least once or twice a week all year long. It might not be for a long duration but at least I am shooting. Even if you wouldn't shoot the bow from, say, January through April, I don't really see a point to decreasing draw weight. Do you think all of the pro shops out there turn down the draw weight on all of their bows when they first arrive...on the rack or not?

Just something to think about.

Tracey, you are to be congratulated on your fine taste in bows. I have one of each as well.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> Like PAB said, I don't turn mine down when not in use, but mine are always in use. That Mighty Mite is a ball to shoot, isn't it!
Is your P38 a single or dual cam?

Phil.
