I can also verify that this holds pretty close to true. My mighty mite is maxed out at 70lbs, and a 27" DL. I shoot a 470 grain arrow, and the bow is rated at ~315 fps.

315 fps
- 30 (losing 3" draw off IBO)
- 40 (470-350 = 120; 120/3 = 40, losing 1fps/3grains)
= 245 fps

I chrono'd my bow around 235, which is about right with the brass knock and string silencers taken into account.

That is very surprising Muzz but I noticed it as well. I am guessing though that is with the assumption that the arrow weight changes as well to remain at the 5 grains per pound level....ie, a 70 pound bow with a 350 grain arrow (any given draw length) will shoot 3 fps faster than a 60 pound bow with a 300 grain arrow (same draw length as the 70 pounder).

I normally go by 10 fps for every inch of draw length though have seen it down to about 7 fps depending on the bow/setup.

After seeing some of the other #'s from BC's on OG's, I must have got one of the slower ones. There's one for sale on AT right now that has 30" 60 lbs. 300 gr. arrow at 317. I'm an inch longer in draw, yet 3 ft. slower than that. [:@][:'(]

My BC said 305 fps at 29.5" and 60#'s. Not the fastest I have seen, but man, this baby rocks. I am just fine with the one I have. I would guess it would put me up around 310 at a 30" draw.

Alright, the mystery continues: I measured all the specs on the bow tonight, and the axle to axle was dead on at 37.25. However, the brace was 7 5/8, not 7.25. Also, I put the bow on the scale, and it peaks at 61 on my scale, and at the point where the draw stop hits the limb, it reads 26. That is definetly not 80%. More like 57.4 And the draw stop is at the longest setting. I don't have a crank board to more accurately test this, but it's close. And just the feel of the valley tells me it's not anywhere close to 80%. I don't get it; things just aren't adding up here.

Thoughts anyone?

My bow is in my locker at the club, but I'll try to get over there tomorrow to snap a pic or two. The cams are right on if you go by the lines that are marked on them.

My OG BC says 316@ 30" and 70#. The 30" cams weren't close to fitting me (Ive been shooting 30" Hoyts for 10 yrs) so I went to the 30.5" cams. Now with no marks from the factory how does one know if the cams are set-up right? Would the specs change going to different cams? Thanks for any info. sjb3

Hey Phil,,, can you snap a picture of your Old Glory's cam position in relation to the limb surface for the guys?? I don't know if it's the same for the Allegiance or not but judging by the pictures of the bows, it looks like the Old Glory has a different limb angle than the Alleg.
