Good Glue?
 

What is a good glue to use for vanes on carbon, that's easy to remove? I'm using Steel Force Beyond Bond. It sets quickly and holds the vanes on very well, just lots of work to remove completely. Any thoughts?

Flex Bond by Flex-Fletch works very well if you first properly prepare the carbon shaft and vane. The shaft needs to be clean and the vane base needs to be wiped with laquer thinner to remove any mold release chemical residue.

This glue holds very well and is easily removed.

I have been using AAE Fastset Gel and really like it. I use it on Gold Tips, and it comes off, but it takes time. I use the backside of a butter knife and scrape like crazy. It takes a little time but it comes off. The nicest thing about it, the vanes will not come off unless you cut them off. I like it a lot.

I use fletch tite on my Gold tips.
To get the old glue off I just use a dull knife.
I am currently refletching once a week cause I keep wrecking the fletchings as well as arrows.

i use fast set gell also and it woorks good, but its hard to get it off. i use a dull razer knife and scrape it off then i use aceatone to clean it good.

Thanks for the replies. Maybe I'm just doomed to spend more time scraping glue than wrecking vanes.<img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle> But I will try another glue to see.
