They both have plenty of KE, but the 500 grain arrow penetrates deeper and seems to "hit" harder on the same target.

KE don't matter so I don't measure it.
How can you say KE doesn't matter? Now it is probably true that you have plenty, and therefore don't worry about it as some people seemed to get carried away with how much KE they produce.
I for one, would love to be able to produce more than I do, just to know that if I shot something big, REALLY big, that I could bring it down.
That said, I shoot a 470ish grain arrow out of a 70lb bow, for about 58lbs of KE. [:-]

I'm shooting on the light side GoldTip 3D pro's at 356 gr at 60#'s ,I'm going to go a little heavier this season since I'm mostly hunting with my rig.Not sure which arrow's to go to but I'll have to look around . I'm looking for a perfect arrow for moose and Deer. What do you guy's think ?
