Default bowtech dually bows?

Looking to pick up a used bow for my son.He has a short(26 3/4) draw length.Looking into some of the bowtech duallys, either patriot or pro 40.Would like to get enough performance to make up for his draw length.

Are there any issues with the dual cam set up staying in tune?I have heard about cam lean problems also?Any input is appreciated.

Thanks,
CB

There is a bit of lean built into the Dually. It keeps the cables tracking properly in the cams. It has not been a problem. Once the strings are settled, cam synch and timing are not a real problem. I've had both the Patriot and P40 Duallys. Both are very good shooting bows. The Patriot has more brace height, but is shorter ata. What is the bow going to used for, primarily?

This will strictly be a hunting bow.Hogs and turkeys right around the corner
The other thing I have heard about the dually is the valley is real small, wants to yank your arm outta socket if it creeps.Personally that's one thing I allways hated about the older mathews cams.

Thanks

The valley is pretty narrow on the Duallys. The P40's is wider than the Patriot's. You may want to look at the Patriot single cam, especially if you'll be in a blind. The single cam is plenty fast, quieter than the Dually, and the valley is very generous, with a rock solid wall.

I agree with pdq 5oh on this ,yes! the valley is very short and yes! it will yank your arm out of the socket if you don't have a solid anchor ,it take's some getting used to, but it can be achieved with practice . If you don't like the short valley I also think you may be better off choosing the Patriot S/C .

I like my Pro40 Dually. Accurate and gets 20 fps more than my bows of similar poundage. As far as the narrow valley goes, I like it because it forces me to maintain good back tension, which is key to good accuracy.
