What size A/C/C for 70lb Bowtech Allegiance
 

Just wanting some arrow suggestions for my 29" draw 70lb Allegiance when it gets here. I am thinking of using A/C/C I am wondering what size. Or if you have other recemdations for an arrow choice. I have plenty of time to mulll this over befor the bow gets here. Thanks in advance!

You could go either way in my opinion. Since the E cam has better nock travel and is supposed to be more forgiving in the spine department you could go with the .340 spine 3/60 or you could go with the .300 spine 3/71. It's normally better to be a little overspined than a little underspined but the 3/60 should be fine. I believe you will be getting toward the upper end of the spine range with the 3/60 but will still fall well within the spine range. It depends on the size head that you are shooting and what you are looking for out of your setup. I am shooting the 3/71 out of my 04 SC Patriot at 30 inches with a 100 grain head but I wanted to get my arrow weight up without switching to a 125 gr. head which would have put me a little underspined with the 3/60 IMO. My arrows are cut to 29.5 inches and they weigh out about 444 gr. Since the E cams also seem to be more efficient with the heavier arrows I would probably go with the 3/71 and it will leave you with a good mix of speed and KE. This is JMO maybe some of the more knowledgeable folks will jump in here.

I will be using 100gr broadheads and the only animal I will be hunting is white tail deer.

Could 'not' have said it any better than silentassassin. The reasons behind his choice is exactly what I would have done had I been drawing 70#, with a 29" shaft. A heavier set up will also 'help' to reduce any hand shock and vibrations.
Ain't going to go wrong and the mix of the speed & kinetic (with a sharp broadhead of course) will pass thru almost anything once placed in the right spot.
If you're thinking about the Africian animals--well I'm not going to bet my last $ on a pass thru, but a good shot placement will get the the kill and that's really the proof in the pudding--isn't it!!!

ACC 3-49's will fit the bill. I shoot 29 1/2" 3-49's at 72# with an overdraw. The bow tunes perfectly with 100 or 125 tips.;)

I agree the 3-49 will work great on a 70 pound bow

The easton chart says 3/60 with a 100 grain head and 3/71 if you go with a 125 gr.

bigcountry25.. I think the 3-60s would be a good hunting arrow for what your shooting, if your gonna shoot lots of 3-d and need lots of speed, then maybe the 3-49s but they will be a little on the light side. By the way do you know any guys by then name of Buie down there, Im good friends with a couple guys from there, one now lives up near me. Congrats on your Allegiance,, I hope to get mine today or tomorrow.

Sure do I seen Heath and one of his freinds from salem yeasterday he was trying to find some shell for snow geese hunting. They already had killed quite a few that morning. I have known him and his brother since problaly sixth grade great guys. He said he needed to have his butt up there working but needed a brake.
