Default Drop-a-way rest vs bodoodle

Do you think a drop a way rest is better than a bodoodle rest.

I just had a NAP put on tonight, and I'm hoping I made the right move.

Your thoughts?

I've never had a drop away but haven't ever read too much about them bad. I have a bodoodle pro and, while it is a great rest, I will be going to a WB next year. The probem I have with the bodoodle is the speed fins are so thin and bendable that it seems I am adjusting them more than I should. Plus I use mole skin on the speed fins and as is wears, fuzzes, etc. and then I replace the mole skin, I'm readjusting. It's not that bad but enough that I will change.

I was shooting a TKO and put my Pro-Lite back on for indoors. My groups tightened right up for whatever unknown reason. I just seem to get better overall arrow flight out of the Bodoodle. Did you check out the Doodle-Drop? Best of both worlds.

I made the exact same move as you, 2 years ago. I had a bodoodle lite rest and put on a NAP drop away. The main reason for the switch is so I could shoot carbon arrows. I barely had clearance with my aluminum arrows. You'll be happy.

plaid dad,

I'm assuming your application here is hunting not target. I use to shot a NAP but I've been shooting a Doodle for quite a few years. For hunting you'd have a hard time talking me out of it. I shoot a Zapper. Once you know the tricks to it......its a no-brainer.
