Tru-Glo tritium/fiber optic sight

Anyone have or seen one of these? I bought one from Cabelas, fiber optic pin with a tritium light source for low light conditions, the best of both worlds. Only problem is, it's not as bright as a regular fiber optic pin, nor as bright as other tritium pins in low light. I'm wondering if I got a bad one. Anyone else with this pin/problem?

They do seem dimmer than my handgun sights, as you probably read in the other post, but I practice occassionaly in low light, andthe seem OK.

If they were brighter, they might even cause some obscuration of the target when looking through a peep.

Keep 'em all in the Bull.

That's the problem, I don't use a peep and it still seems dim.

I had the occasion to look at some others on the shelf yesterday. They are all equally dim. I'm dissapointed in this sight.

My hunting buddy has one in his Savage pendulum. I did some reading and found that Tritium glows because it's radioactive!<img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle> Not for me, thanks. His is very bright, though, looks like a lighted sight when it gets dark out.
