Seen this yet?
Just got the FS discount archery catalouge in the mail, was perusing and wondered upon a fletcher that looks a lot like a Bitz, even says you can use Bitz clamps with it, but is almost a 3rd the cost of a Bitz-
http://www.vadoroutdoors.com/prod01.htm First time I've ever seen it, and have never read about it anywhere. Anyone know abou the quality? From the pic, can't tell what it's made of, bu the price sure is nice... |
RE: Seen this yet?
I had a Vador once, not that particular model though. Got suckered in by the 'nice price.' It was the worst pile of dung I've ever tried to fletch an arrow with. It would never index properly.
IMO, BPE makes a much better jig for not a whole lot more money. Or there's the JoJan Mono-fletcher that's comparably priced with the BPE. (Still not the equal of a Bitz though.;)) |
RE: Seen this yet?
It looks to be made of a composit material and not aluminum. I just perchased the Bitzenburger and love it. You can dial the clamp in to match any shaft size and the magnet is quite strong that holds the clamp in place. If you're picky, and most of us are, and want a quality product, I'd go with Bitzenburger.
