Single pin moveable sight recommendations?
 

I plan on switching sights this year and am very interested in giving the single pin slide sights a shot.
The models I'm interested in are the-
Vital Bow Gear Proslide (highest on my list)
Cobra Easy Slide Extreme
Tru-glo Glo-Brite single (only for the tritium option it provides)

Any thoughts or comments regarding these sights?

All of those are good ones. I would add the HHA OL-5000 to the list. It's the brightest I've used. All of the pro slide type sights are about the same in the way they move. I set mine at 20 yards and shoot to 30 without moving it in the woods. Don

I have a Tru-glo Glo-brite single pin sight, and I love it. It's so bright, I can still see the pin when it's too dark to shoot, so no need for tritium IMO.

I have used the HHA Optimiser 5000 (Single Green Vertical Pin)since it's inception and it is bullet proof!!! I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone!!! Good Luck

Sounds like I can't go wrong with any of them.

There is a good deal on an HHA-6000 (horizontal pin) at archerytalk, but I'm wanting to hold out for vertical pins[&o]. I'll add HHA to the list though.

The reason the tritium option appeals to me is the fact that it glows in the dark- as in waaay past shooting light- the time the BIG pigs come out to play;).

I shoot the Cobra Easy Slide, and LOVE IT! Very bright and simple to use.

Thanks for the link- always nice to have a little "insight" on what's new and improoved, BUT my hunting buddies matrix broke in half last week (just yard shooting, kept in case all year sans 1 hunt) so I'm gonna pass on the trophy ridge for now.

Vital Bow Gear Pro-Slide, you won't be disappointed. Brightest sight I have ever used. I have a light on it but have never had to use it.

The proslide is TOPS on my list, one question though-

The literature describing the proslide states- " The 3ft of wrapped fiber optic material over the glow-in-the dark source make the .029" vertical pin show up like a beacon in low light conditions."
Does this "glow-in-the dark source" allow for one to make the pin glow by charging the glow in the dark material with a flashlight? (Savage sells a pin that does this)

I'm pretty sure it's just glow int he dark tape Dave. You can "charge" it woth a flashlight or whatever and it gives enough light to keep your pin visible.

I've used the Impact Cosmic. My fav apeture but the slide is kinda janky.
Cobra EZ slide...not enough adjustment vertically on the bar for me.

HHA haven't tried.

I found a great deal on a Savage Quick click though. Interchangeable apetures/pins/heads...seems the most versatile to me.

No idea though...heck it may suck:D

I have several HHA Optimizer adjustable sights....they're great. Impact archery Cosmic are very good and I really like the looks of Vital Gear Adjustable sight.

Hey Dave, notice all the suggestions for HHA OL-5000? There is a reason. Plastic has no business on a sight. Plastic is for toys. What broke on your buddie's sight? Some piece of plastic? DUH!!!!!!!!!

I have the Impact Archery Cosmic XL and I love it. It is extremely bright, but not so bright that it blinds you during lowlight. ALL METAL, Built like a tank!!! I just ordered the crosshair aperture to see if I like it. That is the good thing with Impact, you can mix and match if need be.

I also like the HHA and the VBG, both seem like great sights.

I see, I see! HHA OL-5000!!

Still like the idea of a night shot with the VBG though. I'm thinking .19 pin while I'm at it.

My buddies Matrix broke where the bar for the horizontal adjustment mounts to sight head. Said it split right in half and hit the ground while shooting.
