considered one of the newer and smaller models, but
I just can't just justify it yet. I did look at a friends
Leica LRF 800 and was impressed with it.

I have the 500 and the Wife has the Sport which &quot;clicks&quot; when you push the button to range something but it is not really loud. My 500 is silent in operation and I believe is a better quality unit but the size of the Sport is very handy.

I have three busnell sports (2 sons) could not ask for any thing more for bow hunting,and they are priced right.

I have the Bushnell Scout and it works great for me. It will eat batteries if you leave them in the unit. It's a simple matter to just remove the battery after each hunt though. Apparently Bushnell has fixed the problem on later models.

I posted a review of this unit in the Bowhunting equipment forum several weeks ago. A search might turn it up.

coelkhntr, I bought a Bushnell Sport. It's a little bigger than the Scout, but not much. I couldn't see the extra money for features I'll never need. Just point & push the button. Who cares if you can do this in rain, zip, or scan mode, the result is the same. So far I'm very happy with my choice.

I got the Bushnell sport a couple of weeks ago and it does everything I want it to do.
It was priced right too at 165 delivered to my door.

Phil where did you get yours from??

I have a Bushnell Yardage Pro and it is a battery hog!!! Works great, but seems to eat batteries when not in use. I just pull the battery when I am not using it, problem solved :)
