Rate of twist

I'm working on finding the right bullet for my Savage Model 16 Weather Warrior in .223. The rate of twist is 1:9. Should I expect better results with a heavier or lighter bullet? So far results with 55 grain bullets have been less than stellar.

RE: Rate of twist

1:9 should be good for anything up to 69gr. For 77gr or 80gr bullets you'll need 1:8 twist. If your not happy with the accuracy you're getting from your 55's, you might want to try a different brand.
