Looking at a set on e-bay for my Outback. Anyone using these strings. How do they compare to Winners Choice. Thanks, Don

RE: Shooters Edge Custom bowstrings

Their biggest attribute is "pre stretched" strings. Yet most, if not all the shooters I have spoken with tell me they still stretch. Brownell's string material is, in my opinion, the cadillac of string materials. The BYC 450 plus, my favorite, sells for $37.99 for a 1/4 lb. spool. The 452 and 452 in colors sells form $44.99 and $47.99. This is enough string material to manufacter over 100 superior strings at a cost of less then $6.00 per unit. If a string makes you a better shooter it's worth the price, but when the guy next to you is shooting a string he purchased for $15.00 and smokes your butt, you just pissed away $85.00 to loose to your competition. Many products improve an average shooter to better than average. This is not one of them.

RE: Shooters Edge Custom bowstrings

Sniper151, I have to disagree somewhat. There are a lot of people that can smoke me, but I'll have a better chance with a string that doesn't stretch, and keeps my draw length right and my cam in time. I have shot Zebra strings and Winners Choice and believe me "there is a BIG difference". I have shot a Bowtech Mighty Mite with Winners Choice strings about 4,000 shots with ZERO stretch. I checked brace and ATA when I got the bow and it's still exactly the same. I bought a LX and after 200 shots, it stretched 1/2". Twisted up and it stretched another 1/2" in 300 shots. Put a Winners Choice on and no more stretch. If you can stand your string to continually stretch then it doesn't matter which string you shoot;). Don
