"I'm wondering why Mathews didn't put a limb type draw stop on the Switchback."

I asked about this. The cams are size and letoff specific, thus no post was needed.

I wonder why mathews uses one bearing and one bushing on the cam. Outback has two bearings..

I went and looked at a Switchback today and I thought the draw at the end was almost the same as the draw stop on my Bowtech. I held it out and pulled harder beyond the valley and could barely get the idler to move if not any. I didn't notice any movemant on the cam. I really like Bowtech but I think I will have a Switchback in my collection this year.

The wall on the Switchback is plenty solid. It is really more of making a distinction between it and the Outback, which because the draw stop has a more solid feel.

You know really these things we talk about are all very subtle differences.

I think the thing that is really going to sell the Switchback is how well it holds. Sure it's a smooth draw and is quiet and plenty fast and doesn't have too much vibration. But what they really got right is the geometry of this bow. It just plain holds. The balance is remarkable. It is not the bow that I was looking for, but that quality, really leaves an impression with you. And the more you shoot it the more that quality stands out.

I really need to test drive the Allegiance, just to see how that compares.

Buckfevr, I heard something at the proshop the otherday I thought you'd enjoy.
I, personally, after shooting the Switchback felt like it stacked earlier and was a harder cam to draw than the infinity cammed bow I currently shoot.

Here's the conversation I overhear at the front counter while I'm shooting my ole Z-light on the range.......
Customer " I sure hope I like this Switchback, BTW how much is it??" as they bolt on a rest and sights.
Shop guy gives answer, customer looks OK with it.
Then they show up on the range and after the first shot I hear
Customer-" damn this things hard to draw back!!!, What's it set on 65#??? I don't need it that high" So they go check it and it's sitting on 59#!
Then I hear the customer ask why it's so much harder to draw than the Outback.
Shop guy answers under his breath that it's a harder cam on the switchback.
Another customer blurts out- "You don't think those 10 fps were free did ya!!"
(I giggled a little at that one)
I then told him if it was me I'd have a hard time deciding between the Switchback/ Outback.

When I was leaving I once again herd the customer commenting on how hard it was to draw and he was told not to worry he would get used to it.
I hope he does, to me he sure didn't seem too happy with it.

BTW this customer was a pretty big dude. No noodle arms there.

I have a OB what am I looking for that makes this string Zebra junk. If its stretch then can't it be twisted to shorten up? I had mine checked and they said the string was fine.
