Arrow spine question
I have shot 55-75 Goldtips for quite a few years now but I always pulled 65-67 lbs. I have now dedided to lower my poundage to around 56-57 lbs.
with my arrow being 28" and I shoot 90gr. tips. This puts me right around the split in the Gold Tip chart but it says I will need 35-55 arrows. I really don't want to have to buy all new arrows so can anyone tell me will there be a big problem with my set-up shooting 55-75's out of a Mathews LX. I have already been shooting them some just practicing and they seem to be shooting alright. Would appreciate any opinions I can get. |
RE: Arrow spine question
If they shoot the broadhead you plan to hunt with accurately then you ARE A-o.k.
The charts get you in the ball park, your ability to tune your broadhead/arrow combination is the deciding factor on what's right for your set-up. IMHO |
RE: Arrow spine question
I shot arrows that were to weakly spined once (trying to get more speed for 3-D) and I could tell right away. The arrows were all over the target. I would agree with DaveC, if there grouping good then don't worry about it.
