Nice looking arrow.

Be even better looking if you swaped the yellow nocks for some white ones.;)

nice splice job. I'd like to try that sometime as well.

yeah, the yellow nock doesn't look to good does it. my blazers are yellow though and this is just an experiment. having done it though, i really want some more colors and to do some supremely tricked out splices. only thing is i can't even match colors for my clothes. i'd definately do some black and blue striped ones for my carolina panthers.

I've been fletching my own arrows for 45 years and never have gotten up the nerve to do any feather splicing. I am humbled by your fortitude and skill.:D

are you making fun of me arthur? i'm trying. i ordered some great colors today and am going to attempt to do some really rad fletching design. i'll post pics probably over the weekend if there are any worth taking.

Am I making fun of you? Actually... No. I'm serious. I never have gotten the nerve to even try feather splicing in all my years of doing my own fletching, and here you are diving in right off the bat and making it look good. I really am impressed.

Nice job.

I just started doing my own fletching a few months back, but don't have pics.
Splicing looks great, and you can be sure that your arrows are unique.

since we're talking about splicing feathers...what is the best way to splice them? are there any tricks to it, or is it just as simple as it looks?

www.gatewayfeathers.com has some good info on it. i made a rad one today. 2 black feathers with 2 gold stripes each, and 1 gold feather with 2 black stripes. only thing is i put the pieces in the wrong place on 1 of the black feathers so i'm not showing y'all a picture. i learned a lesson though. lay it out, don't put it in the clamp piece by piece. but the yellow one looks really cool. i'd lay out how to do it, but the website mentioned already has it all printed.
