RE: What's the easiest drawing type of cam?
I read the entire thread jmac_or suggested about energy and draw that author Rangeball wrote and my head is just spinning! I'm in no position to half way understand any of it including all the acronyms and what seems to me like fancy terminology. I'm trying to walk before I can even crawl and am looking for the perfect setup for me that some of you runners are even having difficulty with. No way in hell that's gonna happen.
Now, if you guys could kindly point me to a good online source or a book that will bring me current with basic design/construction/functions of compounds and various parts that make up the compound, maybe I could start my quest off on the right foot. (knee in this case) As for now, I think I'll quit thinking about reconfiguring my bows and just make due since the season closes in 4weeks. I'm hunting a used Golden Eagle but also have a hand-me-down Pearson as a backup. Both the bows are set at 55# but the Golden Eagle is noticeably harder to draw, thus sparking my inquiry. I have zero trouble drawing the GE at the range and can shoot it all day. Only, when I'm all geared up and in my treestand, depending on the temperature too, I sometimes have to struggle passed all the clothing and of course the tenseness in my muscles from the cold. I did however have no problem drawing bow on the 120 class buck that almost came close enough as by the time I knew it, I was upright, heart pounding, bow drawn. I just don't want a situation where a trophy comes struttin' and I'm strugglin'. |
