First off the price was $669. Probably will end up the same price as a Hoyt Vtec.
I think the 308 IBO was with a loaded string.
The initial pull of the cam( it isn't that bad) is the toughest part of the force curve. After that you are going to smile(it feels like a wheel, smooth, no bumps) until you hit the rock solid back wall. I think the drawstop works the same as the I, F cams. I really liked the way this bow felt during the draw cycle and the shot. Check with your local shops. They should be arriving this week. I think most people will like this cam and Bowtechs new lineup for 05.

The bow he has is a 28" model shooting 308..........the IBO Speed rating is based on a 30" model which will add about 20fps +/-
It would seem that these bows from what I've seen are at the high end of their advertised rating and they carry their efficiency very well from draw length to draw length.

Matt, that is what I thought was the "problem", but he also said that was the IBO.

He did refer to IBO specs.......all that the IBO part means is that the bow was shot with an arrow that weighs 5grs. per lb of draw weight.
In other words this bow's IBO speed at 28" is 308fps. (350gr arrow/70# draw weight)
Gets confusing at times doesn't it?

I shot the defender VFT tonight.

The draw force isn't exactly what I expected it to be. Not in a bad way but not what I figured it would feel like.

I was expecting Freedom cam draw curve but it was more stout of a pull then the Freedom cam.

Although it is just as smooth as they said it would be. No bumps or drop offs just a nice smooth draw into a backwall the same as the freedom and infinity cams.

Also the pictures of the cams with a adjustable draw stop like the freedom and infinity cams is not correct.

It is still adjustable but only by 1/2 inch not how the catalog pic shows.



When drawing the bow it feels more like a recurve than a compound bow.

B.C. said 28 inches 70 pounds 353 grains 303 FPS.

That is one attractive looking bow. Forgive me for saying it but the first thought that popped into my mind after looking at the cam was how much it looked like a shortened version of the original Hoyt Redline single cam...on both ends ofcourse. :)

I post as Deadhead at Eders. Figured I should visit here more often since I am going to be buying an Old Glory, and hang out with the Bowtech crowd. How do I change my name from Bowshopper to Old Glory:D Now All I have to decide Is camo or competition.
