cutting arrows to length

what is the best tool to use for cutting arrows if you buy the pre-packaged arrows. alum. or carbon? will a hand pipe cutter work? arowws at the pro shop are crazy priced. I can put in insets and fletch myself.

You can cut aluminum arrows with a tubing cutter but I would recomend a saw instead because the tubing cutter rolls over the end of the shaft that requires you to ream out the shaft to get the insert to fit.

you absolutley cannot cut a carbon arrow with a tubing cutter
I would make a arrow saw with a dermel tool mounted to a piece of angle with hose clamps
and make a stop out of a piece of 2x4 witha 3/8" hole bored half way thru clamped im place by a c clamp or reach over channel locks
Clear as mud?
