Tiller Adjustment

Hi, i have a hoyt bow cam .5 and i was just curious about all my adjustments and when measuring the tiller the is a big difference between top and bottom, the top measures 8 1/4 and the botton measures 8, can i adjust this with out backing out the limb bolts by twisting the string and cables, i shoot 70 pounds and have the limbs bottomed out, thanks for any help.

grouping and flight are 2 different things. i ask because if you can't see any noticeable wobble in your arrows i don't think you should adjust anything.

Hi Gibblet, i dont see any kind of wobble or anything with my arrows, they seen to fly straight and shot a dead bullet hole through paper, i just thought i would ask about the tiller because the book that came with the bow says to have top and bottom even.

i'm not sure about hoyt's cam and 1/2, but some bows actually need a little adjustment to shoot bullet holes, with the bottom limb bearing a few more pounds. if you're shooting bullet holes, your arrow flight looks good, and you're maxed out - i would leave it alone until something changes. i know, i know, it's impossible to not fiddle because you'd rather be doing something with your bow than anything else, but really let it be. lots of people wish they had your trouble.

I'd agree with Gibblet if everything seem's to be fine ,then I'd leave it alone as well. I don't think you can adjust tiller by adding or subtracting twist's in your string .I'd probably go a 1/4 turn in on one and a 1/4 turn out on the other .But leave it be a long as it's shooting fine .
