I haven't used them myself but I've heard from some respected sorces on the forums that they are NOT a good product (Talons). It is my own opinion that there are many other excellentdesigns and performers available to the serious bowhunter. Personally I prefer a deployable blade "aerohead" system such as the excellent Rocket Steelhead for nearly all of my bowhunting.

I have last years version of the Crimson Talon. I never used them for anything other than practice. In my opinion the blades are flimsy and not something I would depend on in hunting situations.

I tried the Raptors this year and they did pretty well. They leave a huge hole in & out but on rib hits the mechanical blades seems a little flimsy. None of them broke on my heads but the did bend and get dinged up pretty bad. If the would make the mechanical portion of the heads a little stronger it would be one of my favorites.
