Serving keeps sliding up string
 

I've had my string served 4 times in the last 5 weeks. It has been done by 2 different pro shops twice and my friend once.My serving is'nt wearing out.It's just constantly creeping up the string and separating.I've tried braided fast flight and diamondback,as well as double nock points above the arrow.I am shooting a parker ul31 with tru-fire badger power grip single jaw.Please help before I crack!!!!! p.s. THE SERVING IS BEING PUT ON VERY TIGHT

I assume you're talking about the center serving when you say you tried double nock points. How much length of center serving do you have above and below the nock point?

I have approximately 1" above the nock points and three inches below the nock points,any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

When I reserve a string I start at the top and start by splitting the string and putting the end of the serving through the string. Haven't had any problems with it. Another option for you is to go with a string loop if you're shooting off the string itself.

UL31,

I would check out the string, its possible the string is getting ready to fail if there is quite a bit of separation. With the crimp on nocking points strands often get cut or weakened when the nocking sets are crimped on the string too tightly. The separation of the serving maybe a sign of the string stretching under the serving area, which is often a place of string failure.

HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. TRY MAKING YOUR SERVING A LITTLE LONGER. AND, WHEN YOU RESERVE IT, PUT SOME CONTACT CEMENT ON THE STRING BEFORE YOU SERVE IT. FIXED IT FOR ME.
