RE: Becoming an Archery Rep

rick,

I'm not sure of the answers to all your queries, but as an outside sales rep for a very large company myself, maybe I can be a bit of service.

Check on Monster.com for your area for sales jobs. There will also be local bulletin boards on the net which will advertise rep positions. But mostly, I would think, you probably need to e-mail your resume and a cover letter to various manufacturers within the industry which you're interested in working for.

I would also think that this industry (just a guess) would be pretty tight-knit, and that most of these positions are filled before they ever make it to the open market.

I would also think that a manufacturer's rep would have a HUGE travel territory (multi-state), and have to work quite a bit of trade shows as well. I know that in our area archery shops are few and far in between, and long days between the steering wheel would be a necessity.
