Which is the newer style the gray(teflon?)or the black one with rollers, why the change. Thanks

The gray is the newer style , I believe they changed because the newer style is quieter , and sets up easyer , allows for more adjustment on bows with shorter cabel rods , such as mathews q2 .

Muzzy slide Gen1 was large with rollers and had problems extending beyond some cable guards.

Gen2 was a shorter version of Gen1 and worked better.

The problem was with the rollers. We found instances where the rollers broke down with high speed bows and started digging into the carbon cable guards.

There were several iterations of what is now standard. Different materials were tested and the gray slide won out.
