Default FOC Question

I recently bought a new bow. A Jennigs Strike Force, at 57#'s. I am shooting Beman ICS Venture 400's that are 28.75". I decided to use Muzzy 4 blade 100 grn broadheads. I did the math and my FOC is 11.74%. Is that a good place to be? Or should I switch to 85 Gr. heads for a better FOC? It has been pretty windy lately, so I'm not sure what the full accuracy potential for the 100 gr head is. Just wondering what your thoughts and comments are. Thanks

Default RE: FOC Question

In general an arrow will be more erratic with to low FOC, & trajectory can suffer with too much.

It is helpful; to get the best trajectory one can get, while keeping the arrow stable.

Experimentation to find the best medium FOC for each bow & arrow set-up can be helpful.

But any setting between 8 & 16 would work well enough, maybe?

Thanks for the info. Last night wasn't to breezy, and the broadheads shot ok. Not as good as my field points, but good enough to get the job done.

Your foc is fine , fixed blades in the wind are going to fly like junk no matter what your foc is .
