Matthews Ulta 2

Is that the same as the Q2.
A guy is selling one in the local paper for $400

Nope !!

The Q2 is a 34" ata bow with a 7.5" brace height ! It shoots 308 IBO and has a long riser /short (more parrallel)limb configeration ! It is a smooth shooting , quiet , and all around great bow !

The Ultra 2 is more of a speed bow . It is a 36" ata bow with a 6 1/8" bh ! It shoots 320+ IBO and has a shorter riser and long limb configeration !
I had one for two years and liked it a lot ..........but it has a harsher draw cycle , is a little louder, and has more handshock than the Q2 . It also is not the kind of bow you pick up after a year and still drive tacks with..............the short brace height ........makes your form more critical !
The Ultra 2 's resale around here is pitiful ..............I did good to get $350 out of mine and it was like new w/ a brand new Zebra string added !!

JMHO................but I would take a Q2 anyday over an Ultra 2 ..........unless I had a really short draw length or was hunting something and needed a little more uummppfff !!! ;)

Thanks so much for the detail.
Looks like I'll pass on the ultra.
And keep my eye on E-Bay
