2005 Hoyts?
 

Any word on anything new from Hoyt for 05? I almost bought a Vipertec last year. I wish they still had a solo cam (redline cam) option. I heard good things about the cam &1/2 but I really like the solo cam. I would love a vipertec with one.

I have not heard a peep yet but it is usually around October 1st that the first tidbits of info start "leaking" out. ;)

I've not heard anything, but I speculate that they will have a true parallel limb bow this year as they were leaning that way last year. Frank's right though, usually around October the info begins to leak.

I bet they will still have a riser design that looks like the victim of a tragic farming accident[8D]

I use to shoot Hoyt bows and the last one i had was a Striker with the redline cam and i really regret selling that bow. I would probably still be shooting Hoyt but i just don't like the tec riser and the split limbs. I would love to see them come out with a solid limb bow and a different riser as an option but i highly doubt it.

Chad, are you still beating that drum??

I personally like the riser design. Gotta admit, no one else stepped out of the norm and made a riser like that. Everyone else seems to have the same song and dance every year.

As for the split limbs. I don't really care whether they are split of solid. The splits on the Hoyts are one of the tops in the industry. IMO, I think it helps eliminate some of the failures your seeing on the some of the solid styles. Seems like most solid styles are cracking at the splits on either end.

Boom Boom Boom:D Nah just gotta pick a little on you Hoyt Guys. Actually I have been having brief dillusions of looking at the Hoyt line again, But then I smartened up:D No really they do shoot nice but I just can't be immediatly be comfortable with the tec riser design. I agree with others though I think they should look into a solid parallel limb design. That would probably be pretty cool with the tec riser and their spiral cams that would be an awesome speed combination.

I'm pretty sure you can special order it with Spirals. I almost ordered a Razortec with Spirals before I bought my Patriot. Talk to your local dealer. If he is worth a hoot he can probably order you one with Spirals, unless the option is not available on bows with the XT1000 limbs.
