Stabilizer and point of impact?

Just bought a 10" super stix with 2 diff. length tuning rods. Set it up, put it on the bow and the arrow hits 1 1/2" to 2" higher at 20yds.than when sighted in with a 5.5" Sorbotek hunting stabilizer! No big deal as I have resighted in, just surprized me that by switching stabilizers it would throw off the sights!!???

RE: Stabilizer and point of impact?

Sounds like there may have been a weight difference in the two? I tried several different stabilizers last week and noticed similar results.

RE: Stabilizer and point of impact?

Actually the super stix is a little less in weight, but it feels alot less in weight, due to the weight being spread out twice as far as compared to my 5.5" sorbotek I was using! Maybe with the heavier stabilizer, and the fact that the weight is so close inline with the bow, the bow/my arm drops quicker after the shot? and when compared to a lighter more spread out weight on a longer stabilizer the bow stays "put"a millosecond longer? Thus a higher point of impact?????
