how to yall shot?
 

i was just wondering how far do yall shoot at on average and how close are yalls groups?

the max i shoot is 25 yards, on occasion 30 but all i really need is 20-25 where i hunt. my groups on a good day are 1 1/2";):D

I practice shooting all ranges up to 50 yds. Not that I would shoot at an animal that far but it makes shooting at 20-30yds seem like a piece of cake! I generally don't shoot at game much over 25yds so most of my practice tends to be at 30yds. I get 2-2.5" groups at 30yds depending on the weather and me!!

I practice out to 50. Most of my time is spent shooting 20 and 30.

groups arent too bad, not quite moa but i am still pretty new to the game. I would have no problem at 40 yards. But for some reason i fall apart at 50, dunno why but my 50 yard groups are significantly larger than 40 yards

On an average day 4" at 50 yards. During a practice session at base camp this year, I shot a 2" group with 3 arrows at 50 yards on a 3-d elk. That's about as good as it gets.

I'll practice out to 70 yards but at that distance I'm happy just hitting the target. I like to practice at longer distances because it really helps me shoot better inside 40 yards. I find that I'm able to steady the pin better and shoot tighter groups. The bulk of my practice is between 20-35 yards. I'm shooting 1-2" groups inside 20 yards and I'll regularly shoot 3" groups out to 35 yards but outside of that my groups get much larger. Every once in a while I'll suprise myself with a 1-2" group outside 35 yards but it's not frequent enough to consider normal shooting. :D

I shoot out to 70 yrds a lot ! I have become confident in those shots and it has paid off ! The decision to take a long shot is up to the hunter.......there are situations where it has it's place and where it doesn't !! And your the one who has to live with the results.........good or bad !!

The most important thing is that long shots improve your short distance shooting !! Good luck !!

I shoot groupings of 1-2" from 30 yards. Where I hunt, there will be minimal chances of shooting farther than that. I have practice up to 60 yards, but would never shoot that far!!!
