Default "Cracked Limb" UPDATE!!!!!!

Well guys,

This evening I took my bow to a buddy of mine who use to run a pro-shop. After a very close and thorough inspection, the crack on my limb isn't actually the limb! The camo has a seperation in it, not the limb! It looks like someone took a thin piece of black hair about 2" long and laid it on the bow!

Thankfully the bow is fine and I don't need my limbs replaced. Today was gut wrenching thinking that I could possibly not be ready to go come Oct. 2nd!

The moral of this story is to check you bow out, check it thoroughly and don't pass anything off. Sure, it could be something cosmetic like my "problem" (thank god), but there is always the chance of it being something worse!

c903, Yep, I just about hugged the guy! I'll tell you what though, it was a rude awakening! I don't always check my equipment after every shooting session but I will from now on!

I wonder how many "cracks", are actually flaws in the finish.

That is good news Jason. One less thing for you to have to worry about as the season fast approaches.

I wish I could pass mine off, but the 5 inch splinter hanging off the limb at 30 degrees worries me![][][]

Good to hear...that is probably where two ends of the film dip met. The older Hoyt bows that had the Mossy Oak Forest Floor camo often had those types of "cracks" in the dip..very unsightly, but just cosmetic.

I'd add a hair of the precise same length to the other limb as well. Can;t have them limbs being different weights now or it'll throw your whole game off
