RE: Time to really test Bowtech customer service...
Fred,
I am glad to hear that things are being expedited quickly. I am sure Mike will get you up and running in no time. You do know that I was going to let you use one of my bows if yours wasn't ready in time now don't you? :) |
RE: Time to really test Bowtech customer service...
my limbs should also be in mid week

RE: Time to really test Bowtech customer service...
Well, unfortunately I am going through the same thing for the second time on my Liberty. The first time I went with the press theory, but the second time I can’t because the only time the bow was in the press was at the dealer's shop when the new limbs were put in. It was three weeks later that I had the bottom limb crack again, with only two weeks until the opener. I did notice that the bottom limb ( which is the limb that cracked ) had a 1/16th gap between the bottom of the limb and the limb pocket. This may be the problem but I am not sure. Bowtech is sending me two new limbs as well as limb pockets to try and solve the problem. I have every bit of confidence that Bowtech will have the new limbs and pockets to me within five days, and I also have every bit of confidence that Bowtech will take all means necessary to fix the problem. Where I am losing my confidence is in the limb cracks. If this third limb cracks I will be pulling out, and trying a new approach.

well if it happens 4 times and you call bowtech yourself they'll send you a new one, at least they did me. i'm thinking of nicknaming my bow a blowtech.

RE: Time to really test Bowtech customer service...
Come on Gib;) Maybe it was your dealer's bow press all along??? How about naming your dealer's press "Crapple"????:D

RE: Time to really test Bowtech customer service...
crapple, built for blowtech, perfect. i agree, they're morons at that shop. their personal bows shoot great, but there is only 2 of them, and they really don't put the time in they should with things, they need to hire somebody. they are always hurrying. did you see where i said my brand new bow i was sent blew a limb the first time they pressed it also? only had it about 5 days. i wasn't about to press it so i drove it an hour for them to get my timing back. i was in the bow room and one of the owners had it in the back on the crapple and i heard a very loud clunky thud. came out and said i had a broke limb, duh - you f---in' just broke it by not operating the press correctly, i heard it. got another brand new bow off the rack, got my accessories off, and went home. they ain't touching this one. but it shouldn't be that easy to break one.

gibblet,
If there is something wrong with the press AND they aren't taking the time to do it properly (Or learn how to do it properly) you can screw up ANY bow in a hurry. Be glad you didn't have a Hoyt Tec riser bow before people started to figure out how to properly press those. If I were you I would take that bow and run far far away from that shop. |
RE: Time to really test Bowtech customer service...
matt, there's one shop around here i think is good, but they don't sell bowtechs. however, every time i've ever bought anything there its been a very thorough process. they are the kind of guys who like stuff just right. they don't have a parallel limp press though. i called around today looking for a particular sight and found a couple bt dealers just across the border in Tn., only about 35 minutes from here. i may check them out. bt ought to send out a darn rep to the dealers and teach them how to do it. i guess it may come to that.
