Draw Power?
 

I have permanet damage in my shoulder so my draw weight is 55 to 60lbs. So my question is, this enough power to take down a deer?

Here in PA it's 35lbs minimum for deer and 45lbs for elk.

The newer bows are so much more effecient you could drop 10 or 20 lbs off your draw weight and equal or better the performance of a bow that is 10 years old. I have a 26 inch draw and shoot between 55 and 60 lbs. It's plenty to take whitetail with. Just tune your bow well, pick your heads correctly and remember shot placement is key.

If people where taking deer with 50 lb recurves, any new bow is more than adequate to get the job done. Just because there are people out there shooting 290 fps and 70+ ft/lbs of KE doesn't mean that's what it take to take game.

That's plenty.

Check your state laws to see if they have a min. limit. Florida is 35lbs.

55 lbs is sufficent to kill deer. You'll want to check your states regulation to make sure it's legal. Most states (Maine included) have a 35lb mininum.

I dont think there is a state with a 55 lb. minimum

I had an old girl friend who shot deer and elk with a 45# bow. Its all in the shot placement.;)
