Outback & NAP 4000 or Whisker Biscuit
 

I pick up my new Outback tomorrow and can't decide which rest. My son uses the WB and loves it. I'm really leaning towards this but also like the NAP 4000 drop away. It will be a hunting bow and maybe some 3D. Who is using these and do you have any complaints? I was thinking maybe the Trophy Taker but my dealer doesn't sell them and seems to have the best luck with these two rest. Any comments or sugestions would be appreciated.

I use a WB on my outback and it works great for me.

well i think you cant go wrong with the WB. with the new bristles there isnt any fletching damage and very little, if any, speed loss. i would suggest you get the quickshot deluxe model but thats up to u.

I tried the WB for quite some time but recently went to NAP's 2000RG for my LX. The WB was a little hard on my feathers so I made the change to a dropaway. However, I got outstanding accuracy using the WB. If I had to do it again I might would go with the Trophy Taker, for my LX anyway. You do have to quieten the Trophy Taker though or you might have too much noise, simple fix..

I have the NAP QT4000 and I really like it. Quiet and simple to set up. Easy to adjust. I thought about getting a full capture, but decided the dropaway would give me more options for fletching, etc.

I have used both and now have the QuickTune 4000 on my Buckmaster G2. I liked the WB due to the fact that it's almost impossible to drop an arrow from it. What I didn't like was my accuracy out to, and past 30 yards. At 20 yards my groups where around 2-3 inches, at 30 yards about 7 inches and they were horrible at 40. The WB was really deforming my vanes so I switched to the QT. It took about 20 minutes to setup and I love it. I can easily shoot a 6 inch group at 50 yards now. I'm sure others can do better than that but I've never been presented with anything longer than a 35 yard shot and 6 inches easily fits into a Whitetail's kill zone at 50 yards.
If you are going to do a lot of stalking with close shots, go with the Whisker Bisquit.
If you are going to sit in a stand and want more options for fine tuning your bow setup, go with the QuickTune 4000.

The B-2 whisker biscuit will work just fine on your Outback. Use correct spine arrows, set the bow at even tiller, and nock the arrow at 90degrees to the bowstring. The windage adjustment for the rest should be determined by grouptuning for the narrowest group at different distances. Good luck with your Outback.

order a trophy taker you won't be disappointed. tried the wb and it tears up my feathers with noise -with the trophy taker smooth no noise and reliable, easy to set up unlike the wb
