RE: Mechanical or fixed???

I will only shoot fixed blades. They always fly good, because I know how to tune my bow and arrows to do so. I will also only shoot broadheads that I can easily sharpen myself. I prefer the edge I put on a broadhead to one that most come with, and particular fixed blade heads are much easier to sharpen. Lastly, I will eliminate a moving part whenever I can. I see no advantage to having the moving blades, yet I see where there is a chance that they may not move like they're supposed to.

This has been beat to death,so one more opinion won't hurt.I perfer the mech's,and ONLY the NAP products. Spitfire Pro's,or the Shockwaves.I've tried a bunch of the others, believe me,I've got a hole box full of mech's that were "useless"because of design or just cheap components. These rejects are from major manufactors.I've killed dozens of deer with the Spitfires and Shockwaves, they performed and functioned perfectly. So I see no reason to change.
There are some great fixed blade broadheads, and if I was going to shoot them it would either be the Muzzy,Montec,or the NAP Thunderheads.
The reason I stay with the mech's is that it's easy, from shooting field points to mech's,no tuning issues, they are accurate and deadly
With my set-up,the K-energy is not an [email protected]

I prefer expandables for one simple reason....a larger cutting diameter with excellent levels of accuracy. As mentioned, they are not for everyone but can be absolutely devastating if used properly.
