Tuning Trouble...Please help!

I recently installed a no-peep on my bow and removed the old peep sight due to a problem that I thought was due to bow torque. Well it didn't seem to fix my problem after extensive tuning procedures. I am shooting a HCA Four Runner (single cam) with 28" cx 300 carbons, 100 grain field points, Nap quicktune drop away, with poundage at about 70#. I will get 2 or 3 tight grouping arrows out of 4. 3 arrows will group well and the others will be 8 inches or more off the mark. I have done the horizontal and vertical line tuning to adjust nock and rest placement but I still get those arrows that sail off. I have tested the arrows also but the sailors are random arrows so I doubt its the arrows. One thing I noticed is my teflon cable guard sometimes binds. It seems that the teflon cable guard rod is a lillte scuffed around where the cableslide moves which I am sure causes a bit of binding. Could this cause the random arrow to fly off the mark? If so does anyone know af any after market cable guard rods that would work and where to find one? The rod I have now is straight with no bend.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Without seeing you shoot, I'd imagine that's the biggest part of your problem. You can get your dealer to order a new cable guard direct from High Country. Probably your best bet.

I'd bet your cable guard is carbon, not teflon. You might want to get some 600 grit wet/dry sandpaper and try smoothing out the rough spot before buying a new one. Might work, might not, but it's worth a try. Definitely get a new cable slide.

Browning-1 try this it might work, take some Pledge furniture polish and spray the shaft and cable slide. Rich
