Arrow Length Mistake
I am a beginning archer and at the recomendation of a friend i purchased 6 new gold tips. The problem is that i got the length wrong. The alum. arrows i had were 28" and i ordered 29" by mistake. Is this going to cause me problems down the road? These figures are w/o tips. I would really be grateful for some feedback here.

RE: Arrow Length Mistake
1" shouldn't concern you too much. If you don't like it just get ahold of a high speed arrow cut saw and cut the 1" from the nock end, after emoving the nock of course;).

RE: Arrow Length Mistake
What are you going to do with your 28" arrows? Are you going to shoot them along side the 29", if not, I wouldn't do anything. If you are then see if they are grouping the same at whatever yardage you shoot at. Chances are, they will be right in there. If so, I wouldn't bother. If it bothers you mentally, then just take them to any pro shop and have them atake an inch off. Take one of your other arrows to make sure you measured correctly. Should cost much at all.

Easyly fixed , cutting an inch off . Its adding an inch thats hard .:D

RE: Arrow Length Mistake
If the one inch ends up being a spine problem, which I doubt it will be unless your right on the line to begin with, just drop your poundage a bit. Even if you cut the length off the back of the arrow, you might end up refletching them. I would cut it off the front and just put new inserts in them if you really wanted the correct length.
Like said above though, one inch shouldn't make a huge difference if your spine is a little stiff to begin with. You won't notice at all with target tips, they may not impact in the same spot, but they should still group well. Keep in mind any time you change anything on a bow you should re-check the tune on it. Don't just switch arrows and assume everything is hunky dory. These arrows are most likely a smaller diameter than your aluminums were, so you will have to adjust your nocking point or rest. Not to mention the spine may be different as well. Good luck, Paul |

RE: Arrow Length Mistake
Better too long than too short! you should be fine , 1" shouldn't make a hugh difference.
