Problems shooting with a head net
Does anyone one else have problems shooting with a head net which results in them painting their face every time they hunt. I just can;t make my anchor point work for me with a head net on. Is this a pain to take the paint off your face each night?

RE: Problems shooting with a head net
My anchor must be diff. becaus I can shoot with a ball cap on and a headnet with no problems. I would just practice with it on and I think eventually it will work itself out!

I used to have the same problem so I painted my face. Then I started using the spando flauge masks and really liked the. Then Cabelas came out with their camoskinz face masks and I love them. They fit real nice and tight and I have no problems at all with anchoring.

RE: Problems shooting with a head net
I've always just grown a beard for hunting season. Pull the cap down low over the eyes, a bit of mud rubbed on the bridge of my nose and cheekbones and I was set.
Problem now is, the beard is getting a little too too much white in it to be effective camo...[&o] |
RE: Problems shooting with a head net
If you're using a kisser button, I can see why you'd be having problems. Back when I used a kisser, it was kinda tough at times feeling for it.
Try what I do now. I tye serving on the string and place the center of my nose on it. The tip of your nose is pretty sensitive and you'll pick up your anchor quick this way. I always have my nose sticking out of my face mask and really took a liking to this setup. |

camo eye wear and a beard
your eyes will get you busted |
RE: Problems shooting with a head net
Find where the nose effectively touches the string. Serve the string +/- 1/2" and place a kisser on it so that the kisser rests on top of your nose. With proper anchor points, this is a very efficient way to gain peep/sight alignment in the worst of conditions.
