Tuning arrow rest
I just fitted a new rest(NAP QT 800).I paper tuned and all seems well.My problem is i cannot find info on what the angle of the prongs should be.AT the moment they are quite high up(angle between prong and arrow is more than 45 degrees).
This means only the tip of the prongs is at contact with the arrow. Can anyone tell me what the norm is.? |
RE: Tuning arrow rest
I don't think there is a norm or a correct angle for prong angles on TM style rests. It's basically whatever works to eliminate fletching contact. If you've got good arrow flight now, I wouldn't bother with it.

RE: Tuning arrow rest
I agree with mrfritz, as long as everything is working, and you are shooting well with good clearance...... it doesnt matter what angle the thing is at.

RE: Tuning arrow rest
Normally what i would do is set an arrow on the rest and line it up with the berger holes. This will usually give good clearance.Another thing is if the prongs are to low then you might have contact problems with your broadheads.:)
