Leeches
 

I put leeches on my string a few weeks ago and all they did was kept falling off. I am wondering if it really makes that big on diff. with or without them. How many of you guys use a string silencer and do you think it helps at all?

How exactly did they fall off? I've had leeches on my string and cable for years and have yet to have one 'fall off'. The ends usually stress and fly off afer a year of moderate shooting, but the whole thing doesn't fall off...just the ends seperate.

I dont know what happens, one shot they are there then when i look they are gone, so i dont know. [:@]

I don't like them. I had some on mine, didn't notice any difference. Besides that, they didn't last long. The ends broke off after only about 100 shots and rendered them useless anyway. I took em off and replaced with cat whiskers.

Hi, noticed the post about the String Leech's falling out of your string.
There are two different things you can do to prevent that from happening.
One put a few more twist in the string.Or two serve the string Leech in.

Try string bats. They are similar to leeches but diamond shape.

I really like the leeches. Do you have the old style or the new ones? The older ones didn't seem to last long for me, I even went back to whiskers for a while, but the new ones really seem improved. I have had the sames ones on now for about four months, and they seem to be going strong. But, I tie them in. It's real easy, if you need help let me know.

I wouldn't suggest putting in more twists in your string if your bow is already tuned.

I have the new leeches, i didnt have them tied in before but will do so now, thanks guys.

My string leeches are tied in, but unfortuneately the ends do rip off after a couple hundred shots. I am going to replace mine at the beginning of the season. I think they make a difference.

i use whiskers they last alot longer.
