More Hype, or do we have a winner?
A lot of us here have owned so many different brands of bows over the years it is kind of embarrassing.
It has been a while since Jennings came out with a bow that caught my fancy. The last one was in the early nineties when they came out with the Carbon Extreme XLRS. For me it was an outstanding piece of equipment. Their new CK 3.4R looks very interesting with their j-REV cam and FNT (force neutralizing technology) Limbs. Only time will tell if it performs as advertised. Supposedly super quiet. Stats: ATA: 34" IBO: 305 BRACE: 7.75" WT: 4.4 lbs Let-Off: 73% It is odd to see a camo bow with chrome (silver) limb pockets, cam & idler, and cable guard. Looks kinda sexy. I'm not getting my hopes up. |

I think everyone had a carbon extreme , nice bow , fast by todays standards , around 8 years after they were sold .

Jennings certainly is not the company it used to be...very sad. Some of the best shooting bows I've ever had were Jennings bows. Carbon Extreme being one. My 1999 Bear Epic was one of my top 5 of all time. I just couldn't miss with that bow (when I could keep it together). And I had a heck of a good shooting BM2000 (my second, the first was a POS)
I particularly like the Jennings PWC cam. Not the best wall, and the string termination peg has it's issues, but that is a very comfy to draw, hold, and shoot cam. BTW those limb pockets are dull...similar to what Darton and Martin have for their cams this year. It's not too shiny. No Jennings dealers around these parts anymore...when NAAG took over, dealers dropped 'em like a hot brick. |

The only way i would ever shoot a Jennings would be if Hoyt started making them , and it had Hoyt on the limbs.

I have not seen it yet but I plan on thoroughly checking one out when the local shop gets them in.
