Default T.R.U. Ball Pro Diamond Release?

Thinking about buying this release and getting away from a wrist strap. The one I want to try has the 360 degree swivel head double caliper. Does anyone own one of these or had any dealings with this particular release? I have used TRU Ball for @ 3 years and love thier releases but never tried one of the hand releases. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks. Chris

Chris, I have the Pro Diamond and the 3D thumb pull, which is just like the Pro Diamond except the thumb trigger is different. I really like these releases, and to be honest, I think I like the 3D thumb pull model a little better. Go to a shop and compare them, if possible. While the head does swivel 360 deg., you must lock it into the position you want. That's not real obvious from the advertising. If you are shooting with a loop, I highly recommend getting one with the Talon head, which is designed for a loop. Personally, I think this release is one of the best thumb triggered releases for hunting, as it is very quite. Other releases, like the Carters or the Chappy Boss, are double sear releases and have an audible click when cocked or triggered. These are better suited for 3D or target.

i purchased the 3-d thumb pull last year and have no complaints.mine is just the standard caliper model and swivels 360 degrees. the trigger sensitivity is very adjustable. i used it for hunting and it worked great. it did take some getting used to since i was always using index finger trigger releases.
