Min Arrow Wieght Listing
 

On my Carrera and my PSE Mohave, they list min arrow wieght at 420gr. I have always shot a 365gr 29" hawk. Is this harmful? What carbon can you get up over 400 with 100gr field tip and 4" fletchings?

Carbon Express Terminators go over 400 grains easily. Mine are 28" with 4" vanes and 125 grain heads and weigh in at 477 grains.

If you're shooting your bows at less than 70 pounds and/or less than 30" draw, then you most likely won't have any immediate problem. If you ARE shooting 70 pounds and 30" draw, then I'd definitely go by their guidelines. PSE's have had a reputation for a number of years now. "Pull Shoot Explode" has been around since the 80's!

I think a properly set up PSE makes for a good, solid bow, but they don't take kindly to abuse. Ignore their arrow weight recommendation at your own risk.

Couldn't you weight the arrow down somewhat? I have never done it myself, but I have heard of people puting things such as weed whacker line, tubing, and things like that inside the arrow.

Well, I have shot this combo for 4 or so years. Nothing bad ever came out of it, I think. My bow is terribly loud, and I have did all I can to quieten it. I am defiantly not running hot with 64lbs of pull and 29" draw.

I figure I would go with something a tad heavier with the carrera. I just recieved this bow. Maybe ACC's or Carbon hunters.

the min arrow weight posted is for max weight of the bow @ 6gr/lb. This is what is warrantied. You are probably perfectly safe shooting under that, ESPECIALLY if your draw length is under 30 inches.
