Thanks for the honest report. I can't stand the way they always sugarcoat all the reports in the bow mags so your story was a bit of fresh air!

Dang! So I've been wonderin' for the last week, What bow is Frank gonna get?
Then I thought it would be a Bowtech, what with all of the "encouragement" you were getting. So I figure, "There's the thread, I could at least call you a lemming for going along with the crowd. (Although you would have to be the world's tallest lemming, I think!) And what do you go and do? You write an excellent and honest bow report, then put the dang thing up on Ebay!

Here's to you Frank!

You know what you like, and are honest about it, and your not afraid to use the modern bow seller's best friend, Ebay.

Maybe the next bow you will keep for 2 weeks?

I've got a much bigger problem than you. I
actually went out to the Harrisburg show and
saw everything I could, then decided I liked my Y2K bow as much as anything I saw out there. Ya gotta wonder about people like that eh?

Seriously, congrats on the great report, and I hope you do find the ideal bow in time to get it ready for archery season.

Avoid the inevitable until it is absolutely unavoidable!

If you shorten the draw stop, then you shorten the draw length to a point where you don't have a valley. I've seen customers almost yank their shoulders out by going too far with this procedure.

Please be very careful when doing this.

Winger,

You catch on fast...

3dmo,

Thanks

5shot,

The Rampage is one of the bows on my "short list"...:)

55#,

Thank you for the compliment and good luck with the new bow....just don't say anything about PSE....

Mouse,

I tried to call it like I see it without being biased in any way. Thank you.

Joe PA,

I am glad it was entertaining for you. I aim to please... I know how you feel about having an old bow that is difficult to part with. I now regret selling my Havoc Redline and even my Havoctec Versa...but I guess I could always get another...

Stodr,

The part that was edited out was a rather poor, sarcastic paragraph poking fun at Petersen's Bowhunting for always writing reports that give bows 4.5 stars!...a "bad" bow might get 4 stars... Thanks for the tips, I might still tinker with it a bit yet...:)

Len,

I am going to keep the bow at a 31 inch draw length probably so I don't think you will have to worry.

Thanks again folks. I will see if I can put one together again soon.

RE: Frank's Bowhunting Bow Report

Frank: My e-mail to you should explain moreso the dilemna with trying to achieve lower let off through the usage of a draw stop. If it is overdone, the effect could be to eliminate any valley. An archer can get used to this, but it can defeat some of the principle behind compound let off and any unknowing archer drawing such a bow is more susceptible to injury.

Great work, as usual. I also appreciate your honesty and have a lot of respect for your opinions as well.
Great reference of bows to women Matt, I love your sense of humor- we gotta party sometime man. I guess we can say Frank had a one-nite stand with the Pro 38, huh?

We won't tell your wife ok?

Frank, you already know what I will say! But I will say it anyway.

Try another one of your main competitors, Mathews. Any one of the Q2 bows will suffice.

But your report was great, I will be looking forward to more.

Always adding Deer Cam picts. Check often.

RE: Frank's Bowhunting Bow Report

I would do bow reports but no one shoots any of the bows I shoot. Mach 8, Mach 10, Bowman etc. or wants to pay that much for one, lol.
And if I decide to order a $1,000.00 SuperNova from Pinwheel, no one will be shooting one of those either except maybe Robvos and Black Frog. It's lonely at the top, lol.
Seriously though...
Frank, Jeff and Matt, do great reports on bows and I enjoy them all.

Sag.

Len,

You've got mail! :)

Chief,

Thank you..and please don't tell my wife...

IBM,

You aren't the only one pushing for me to give Mathews a whirl. A guy on another site wants me to try the Legacy....is a 31 inch draw available?

Sag.,

I was hoping and maybe Black Frog would reply. I would absolutely love to hear a report from you on one of those fancy-smancy target bows that cost more than my Kia.....and thank you for the compliment.
