Montec pre-season heads
 

Is there any reason to use these or would you be better off just using the regular head and resharpening them prior to hunting. They seem pretty pricey just for practice.

I bought 9 of the Montec 100gr. heads last year. 6 for hunting and 3 for practice. I figure if it really came down to it I could sharpen the 3 I practice with.

The practice heads are rounded a bit on the point and on the blades. I assume that this would be much "safer" than shooting sharpened models. I also think they're close to the price of the sharp heads so that people don't buy the cheaper practice heads.. and try to sharpen them..

I bought a set of the practice heads last season, they work for what they were designed to do. However on second thought because of the price being so close if I were to do it again I would just use the new blades before I sharpen them. Both heads fly exactly like the weight field points they are replaceing.
