The shop I go to also will let you draw the bow or shoot it as well but there's a big sign that say's if you dry fire it you've just bought it .If they know you they don't mind, but if you are a unknown then they make sure you have supervision as well.I have the Patriot Dually and I know all to well that this bow could get away on anyone who is unfamiliar to this bow.
I dry fired my very first bow and broke the cables and bent an axle,the bow wasn't much of a loss but for a shop to have to cover all the cost's on these bow's could be very expensive and as Rack say's you can't sell it to anyone after that . Sure i can be fixed but if you went into a shop would you want to buy a bow that another person dry fired .Not likely, if you would you'd expect a super deal on it ,and why should the dealer lose money on it in order to sell it .
