By the way they were for gold tip XT hunters.

They are best for someone really looking to fine tune the spibe or FOC of their arrows. Generally for most applications I woudln't fool with it.

I know about the foc changes that can occur, but do you think they really affect spine of the arrow???????

Yes they can. I know traget guys that get down to 5 grain adjustments to just get the arrow spine perfect for their setup & how they want the bow & arrow to shoot.

If you are right on the line of too much or too little spine 5 or 10 grains can make or break you in some situations.

If you're borderline on spine, they could screw you up. But if you're in the middle of your arrows' spine range, there wouldn't be any problem at all. I've used aquarium tubing inside carbons to add weight (which I cannot recommend, by the way) and had no ill effect on accuracy.
